DEAR ERIN /////////////////////////////////////////////////////
As long as Hollywood has been making movies, they’ve been telling the same story about the Irish. At our best we’re simple, hopeless romantics with a quiet, rural life. At our worst we’re drunken, violent, dirty, law-breakers. Either way, we’re almost always a joke or a punchline. You’d think by now, we’d be past this. But if you’ve seen some of Hollywood’s recent depictions of Ireland, you’d understand why someone had to say something.
We thought it was time to call it out. We created a trailer, a movie poster, fake production companies, social media and web site presence, an IMDB page, and an entire PR blitz including cinema trailers and T-sides for the type of film that we hope never gets made again, and filled it with all of the tired, clichéd portrayals of Irish people often seen in Hollywood movies, let the public lose their collective shit and find their collective patriotism before revealing it all to be a teaser for an EPIC Museum ad campaign.

The teaser and poster launched first, followed by the reveal trailer and poster a few weeks later.
The film starred real life famous person Peter Coonan, the poster was designed by real life Hollywood poster designer Snollygoster [AKA Jake Doyle], and was treated from start to finish like a real life movie launch.
